Lots of busy insects have been hovering around my garden plants these past few weeks. Here are a few highlights!

Bumblebee in Ipomoea pandurata (a plant I sell, by the way).

Leaf footed bug on Cephalanthus occidentalis (Yet another plant I sell--is there a pattern here?).

Little metalmark on Pycnanthemum tenuifolium. I don't sell this one yet, but will.

Two-spotted Longhorn Bee on Gailardia.

Coleomegilla maculata on Hymenocallis occidentalis.

Carpenter bee on (nonnative) Agapanthus, Little Metalmark on green milkweed, and carpenter bee on purple passion flower.

My yard has gone from an ecological desert two years ago to an interactive landscape teeming with life--it can be done!
